    1. The first shape of labia minor is good for woman, means good luck for husband's career. So do not cut all !!!

    2. maqmur...
It hurts a woman when she has intercourse with labia like that. It does not mean good luck for a mans career. sorry to disappoint you. but seriously, think about this.
IF these women are married,( which some of them might NOT be,)they're husbands probably paid for the surgery and don't you think if they were having career troubles they would have been financially able to fix their wives labia?? no. and if they were so worried about some stupid little tale then they obviously wouldn't have fixed the problem area BUT since it isn't true I'm sure these men would rather their women be comfortable and free of pain than worrying about some little superstition.
here in THIS country men don't treat their wives as OBJECTS for good luck and fortune and they definitely dont believe their wife's LABIA will bring them a good career. The MAN makes HIMSELF a good career. NOT his wife's vagina.
      thanks.

    3. I don't think she truly meant that 'caitie'.

And what the hell are you implying when you say 'THIS country men don't treat their wives as OBJECTS.' When did they ever say anything about treating wives like objects.

I SERIOUSLY doubt that 'maqmur' meant what they said to be taken literally, it was a light hearted joke.

      So chill.

    4. I think everyone needs to relax a little. It's surgery, things are not perfect, typically why people have surgery, to try and create something 'perfect.' just relax and browse through the photos and stop being and taking things so literal.. that is not directed at caitie more so the 'anonymous' person who decided to comment on a literal statement. in, which i would like to add, caitie has a point that women are not men's objects, and she was simply correcting maqmurs opinion to which he/she implyed that.

    6. I just think it's sad that women feel the need to cut up their vagina's to fit in with the porn stars. Men shouldn't care, either. Men don't like feeling their penis is too small and women don't like feeling their vagina isn't pre-pubescent enough.

      ReplyDelete
    7. You don't get it. It is obvious that most, if not all, of these pictures are probably from porn stars. Not your Jenna Jameson's, but the ones that will do anything for a buck. Ex: baseball bats, oversized sex toys, etc. They have probably quit and decided it was all a mistake and would like to look like they did before.

    8. well Im 16 and i already know it sucks to have your vag look like that when your friends have normal ones. Its embarrasing.and It sure isnt cheap to fix it either. Some women can afford to fix it, some cant. when you cant afford to fix it and your too embarrassed to have sex because of it, that sucks.
women have enough shit to deal with, this shouldnt be one of the things stressing them out. its sucks

      1. I'm saving up to do this .... this last comment convinced me to save up!! i heard its about 2500$...this is something ive been thinking about for a long time and i can relate to all these stories!!!! i am so insecure about my labia. hate everything about the appearance of my vagina. i totally think an enlarged labia is Not Sexy. Why is it sooo un-sexy??? why do we have to feel this way?!?!!??! sad and unfair....
Sometimes i literally wonder what other peoples Vagina's look like and if im the only one who has an enlarged labia! sometimes i let myself feel so insecure about it that it drives me crazy!!!!!! my mom called me selfish and says she wont support it. I told her its abnormal and Ugly.
i have recently consulted a doctor about this and will save up to have the procedure done as soon as i can...
Until then I will deal with my insecurity and try to be happy about myself........
everything else i would of said has already been shared above....
if this issue was a big deal for you, as it was for me,
YOUCAN GET THROUGH THIS!!!!!!!!!!I feel the sammme way-i have an enlarged labia and despise it---wish i could love my pussy and the way it looks--ide feel much smexier....

people are so judgementallll...(think about it..)

a debate that plays in my mind..and also an alternative outlook is this:
" Those who mind dont matter, and those who matter dont mind!"

    9. My labia look a lot like the "before" photos. I would never get them surgically altered! I have NEVER had a partner who had a problem with it. If someone doesn't like the shape of my genitals, I don't want to be with them anyway!

To the 16-year-old: as someone who has sex with women and men, I can tell you that protruding inner labia are completely normal. Google for Betty Dodson's "Sex for One Genital Art"; she has drawn hundreds of genital portraits: you will see that long labia are quite common. Dr Dodson's book, "Sex for One" is amazing and empowering; you should pick it up.

    10. I AGREE!, with some of the posts

I dont like how my vagina looks, but it isn't that bad, but still having sex with someone new is totally embarssing
if it makes you feel more confident do it.

      ReplyDelete
    11. I just had it done and I'm so happy and relieved. I was so embarrased to have sex or even get a checkup once a year at the OBGYN. I know what you are going through "Anonymous 16". This procedure is becoming less tabu and since many more women are having it done, it is becoming cheaper.

    12. I agree with both sides here. Everyone should learn to be happy with themselves & appreciate their bodies. However it's not just about the apearance of of the vagina, its comfort during intercourse & everyday activities. My labia are not as large as the pic & I consider it "normal/natural", however I do feel some discomfort while doing anything active such as running & aerobic exercise. I do feel sorry for women with large labia, not because of the appearance but for the discomfort & the feeling of wanting to adjust and tuck your bits.

    14. Hi my name is Claire and im 21. I have recently undergone a labiaplasty and straight away felt instant releif and my self confidence is through the roof. Since I was 16 I have suffered with extrememly protuding inner labia. This held me back not only in sexual activities but everyday ones too. I could not wear certain underwear as it constantly rubbed making me sore. This meant I have been wearing Bridget Jones pants for as long as I can remember. I would not like wearing bikinis due to the visible bulge and fear of falling out. I almost felt I was ugly head to toe, just because of this small part of my body. In sexual intercourse I would not let my partner see or often touch that area. It also hurt an awful lot most of the time. My self confidence also affected my relationships as it was so embarrassing trying to explain to my boyfriend why I would let him do things.
I can understand people saying that the 'designer vagina' operation as they call it, isextreme vainty, they obviously have lovely genital areas.
For those considering the operation....do it. You will not regret it, and as silly as it sounds it will change your life. It has mine.
Im going on my first date in a year tommorrow and Im going on holiday next week. I have bought a tight fitted white bikini....bring it on!

    15. that's so great to hear. I've been looking into it, and if I had the money I would jump at the chance to change my labia. They are probably not quite so large, but increasingly I'm finding discomfort in certain clothes, and feeling the need to readjust when I sit down in tight jeans. It's just not great, and even when your self confidence is high, you don't want to bolster yourself up over something which is just plain embarrassing! I have a partner who would hate for me to do it, but I'm sure he would prefer the results, and I am sure I would be more comfortable in bed, and in life. Can I ask - how is the scarring? Visible or not at all?

      ReplyDelete
    16. To anyone out there. i really want this procedure done. not for vanity but for myself. to actually be happy with myself. it is unbelieveable how muc of an impact having labia like that has on you. i love sex but cant stand for a guy to really touch me and it has to be completely dark. i can hardly even look at myself i am so disgusting. i feel like men completely judge you like the painter on the uk channel 4 programme the perfect vagina. i want one day to have sex with the lights on and to be able to let myself go completely. anyone who thinks this procedure is stupid should not slag anyone else off but be grateful that they either have a nice vagina or have the confidence to love themselves no matter what they look like.

    17. for anyone who is a runner, this is a surgery that makes sense. also, during foreplay, it's the first thing that the man feels, and that gets attention, which is (a) embarrassing to your partner to say, no, honey, wrong little bit of mystery lady flesh (b) typically already sensitive due to daily activities and (c) an almost instant turn off for me, the woman. I'm fascinated that so many people have opinions on this subject. Yes - including myself

      ReplyDelete
    18. Claire Megan, i feel exactly the same. I had the surgery two weeks ago. but not as much for cosmetic reasons, obviously i was embarassed and uncomfortable. My labia were 5 and a half cm, and acording to survys only 1% of woman have them over 3 and a half cm. I am a dancer and i like a lot of sports but i have not been able to perform my best because of my HUGE labia. As for the operation... it was all fine although there was a lot of swelling and bruises but it is completly worth it. for anyone concidering having this done, it is worth it, but don't take the dicision lightly, this is a part of your body, and if a guy doesn't like it or calls you names because of it then i don't think he is worth it, do you? I also recommend a week of bed rest... so get some-one else running after you for a change!!

    20. I am 24 yrs old no kids but have a large labia. I am always feeling the need to adjust myself whenever I wear a thong. It is very uncomfortable but sometimes I want to wear tight pants or a tight skirt and I don't want lines showing but it is difficult to wear a thong. I am seriously considering this surgery now because I would love to be comfortable in any kind of underwear and not worry about excusing myself to the ladies room every 20 minutes to fix the discomfort!

    21. im 16 & very conscious of my labia and it is very uncomfortable i just wish i could cut it off i panic wen i get close to any boy becos i think they are goin to want to have sex and im just totally paranoid and embarrassed. everytime i have had sex with boys i have been drunk never sober. i forget when im drunk and all times have been in random dark places. this is NOT a vanity thing it is an insecurity or MANY woman people who judge and say its ridiculous need to try having these feelings so many women have and then see what they're saying.

does anyone know the average price by the way?

    22. I MUST HAVE THE LARGEST, UGLIEST, AND MOST PAINFUL LABIA KNOWN TO (WO)MAN!!

Over the course of several years I've spent countless hours looking at photos of vaginas, and mine is by far the most unsightly. IT LOOKS LIKE ROTTING ROAD KILL!!

I've always been self conscious about my vagina, so much so, that just like a previous poster said, I've only ever had sex when completely obliterated drunk, not only because I lose my inhibitions but also because I lose sensation and it doesn't hurt so much when my labia get caught. Another benefit is that I don't remember if I get complaints or not. But i wish it didn't have to be this way.

I can't wear skimpy undies because my labia are too large, and any tight pants are out, as well as swimwear. I haven't been on a beach or in a public or communal pool since my early teens. I can't ride a bike because it hurts my labia too much, and shaving is a nightmare.

I would love to have the surgery not only for aesthetic reasons but practical ones too. I want to be able to ride a bike, wear tight undies and pants, and have sex knowing that I won't have to endure at least minor discomfort. But it's out of my league financially, and probably always will be. ANY MAN WANNA PAY FOR ME LOL?!

    23. I have a recurrent bartholin gland cyst on the same side I have a really outrageously long labia. I am wondering if somehow problems with the one might have contributed to cyst formation by blocking the gland outlet? Between the two it is quite painful. Have an appointment with a gynecologist this week and plan to ask what can be done for both problems. Hope to this get this situation resolved!

    25. Well I say anyone who wants to do this for their own self, to avoid friction or general problems, or even boost confidence and remove an insecurity they should do it.
the only reason i see not to is because someone else isnt happy and wants to manipulate or just bluntly force you to do it.

      ReplyDelete
    26. Yeah some of you people are saying that only porn-stars get this procedure done. and that girls shouldn't care if they are bigger. But having the problem where these girls are larger down there can be extremley painful and embarrassing and why wouldnt someone do it to make them feel better about themselves. there is nothing wrong with getting this procedure and it is VERY common. GET it if u want it! U will feel much better and way more confident and that is good thing

      ReplyDelete
    27. Get it done if u are uncomfortable, embarrassed,in pain....any of those problem ...its a great opportunity to feel better about urself and plus it isnt painful and recovery is easy.

      ReplyDelete
    28. My comment is to both of the 16 year old girls. I know exactly how u feel I have felt the exact same way and I know its an awful feeling espcially when your girlfriends dont have the problem...or when u wear a swim suit i bet u have to buy a certain one bc you are afraid of them way your vag looks in it.,,,tell ur mom u want to see a gyno and tell the doctor how u feel (i know thats hard to do) It is so worth it im 18 and i just got it done and could not be happier...it will make you feel better i promise. i know how embarrassing this can be...and it isnt that expensive especially bc a lot of insurances cover most of it believe it or not.

      ReplyDelete
    29. WOW. I never knew this was considered an issue... the only person I ever asked about it was my midwife after either my third or fourth child was born and she was down there already- and she just said it was normal. I've never compared my vag to other women and my husband has never had a problem. Of course... now I wonder...

    30. How much does this surgery usually cost? I am 22 I have only ever had 1 sexual partner who I am with and until I watched embarassing illnesses I didnt realise thatmy labia were too big. I find it really uncomfortable when I wear tight underwear and I would really contemplate getting this done but I am curious about the scarring and how much it costs?

      ReplyDelete
    31. I just had a labiaplasty done last week. I was embarrassed of my labia and it always seemed to get in the way. Talk to your GYN doctor and tell him/her its painful. Most insurances will cover the cost and I am actually making payments for mine. I would not be able to afford it otherwise. I most sincerly understand everyones opinions and I hope what I have said helps someone :) I am happy with the results!!

    33. I just had the Labiaplasty done exactly 4 weeks ago today. I am estatic with the results.
I had had the labia problem since i was 10 years old. It just came on naturally. I always thought i was weird and different because of it and became very shy about myself. It bothered me in every day activities like walking, sitting down, the clothes i wore. It was really embarrassing because its not like you can just adjust yourself in public. Sex was also very uncomfortable and not even enjoyable.

I saw my doctor's before and after photos of the ones he had done and was very pleased.
I decided to have the surgery. My doctor told me in my consultation that because my labia was quite large and was getting the surgery done for medical reasons, i'd be able to claim some funds back.
Throughout the whole process of the surgery, they were absolutely wonderful to me. I did my research before hand and understood that the usual time for a Labiaplasty was about an hour. My doctor took about 2 hours. He took his time and perfected it. And even though he was male, i felt 100% comfortable. A female was always present and a nurse was present during the surgery. All the staff were wonderful all the time.
My healing time was quick. I was up and back at work within 3 days.

If anyone is thinking of having this done, i highly recommend Dr. Blackstock of Sydney. His website is www.enhanceclinic.com.au
Once you have it done you'll be so glad you did it!
I still cannot get over how happy i am since this surgery. I'm soo much more confident (even though no one see's it) and everything just seems so much easier now.
I say definately do it. =]

    34. Why is there an argument in terms of appearance? Don't you realize that by having excess labia is painful, not to mention, it can be uncomfortable in certain clothing. It's a personal matter and certainly a personal decision. Respect that there are many reason why a women feel the need to make these femine changes. Don't assume that it's a decision based on images of porn stars, or based on a husbands income. It's not a conversation of debate, nor is it a matter of others opinions. Each case is individual, and personal.

    36. I have had this issue since I was 13, and refuse to have an sexual contact because of it, which has shortened alot of relationships and made it hard for me to be myself around my partners. I am 18 years old now, and all I want to do is get this done, how ever I have no idea how much it will cost! I'm sure I can afford it soon enough, and the sooner the better. Can some one give me a figure of how much it cost them? and if anyone lives in the Vancouver B.C area can recommend a clinic or doctor to see?

Cartoon pictures have been traded among ex boyfriends and friends and just recently I was receiving prank phone calls with the harassment. I haven't been as sexual active nor turned on by anything since that prank phone call. This procedure would be an excellent confidence booster and help me become sexually active with my boyfriend again

    41. How about a male opinion? My girlfriend has a large labia and i love it, it feels great too. There is no reason to worry about you looks. But on the other hand if it stops you from doing anything then there's a problem, If it ruins your confidence then there is a problem, and if it is uncomfortable then it needs to be fixed. My girlfriend has been thinking about this surgery for a while now and i will be sad to see it go but happy for her. Anything that makes her more comfortable makes me happy. And if you think this surgery is right for you then do it.

In fact, when I was a baby, my mother asked a neighbor lady what she thought of mine? The neighbor told my mom, "hers is just like mine". Yes, I wish I could have had something done was I was young. 46. Hey all

I have to say this blog has been a real eyeopener!! I have had large, and uneven labia since I was 15, and I really hated them. Over the years (I am 28) and never having any complaints (in fact compliments!!) has helped me get used to them, slightly. I am still not happy with them completeley (don't think us women ever will be with anything!! lol) HOWEVER, the man I am madly in love told me he could not understand what I was worried about, he had come across bigger labia, smaller, different coloured and that he loved mine, indeed he loves going down on me. This is gradually sinking in, and after reading all the comments here, THANK YOU everyone. I think I am starting to really appreciate them. They are unique and by all accounts men love them big. I actually think the BEFORE pictures are more feminine and womanly, and I never thought I would think that!! And as for porn, they are LOADS of female porns stars with BIG labia, so I don't understand why woman want smaller. If you look, as I have, to compare, even porn stars are big, small, different coloured etc.
Thanks guys and girls for your wonderful comments, they are brilliant and insightful to read. You younger ladies, please don't feel you are strange, really you are not!! I do understand if they are uncomfortable, I often shift about in my chair at work!! BUT ladies, please don't get the op for the look, men love all different kinds of labia.

    48. i have big lips and it helps to see pictures of before and after to see what is considered big and small. i've always thought mine ugly and they have got in the way of sex. i thought there was a problem with me sometimes until i realised that it was my lips - i'd be wet inside them but dry outside so i couldn't be penetrated. it would make me embarassed and i'd be desperately willing my lips to give way! in the end, i'd use my hand to guide the penis inside me while quickly using my fingers to part my lips. or else, i'd try to quickly get all my lips wet without my partner seeing. having read all the comments, it seems so silly! so thank you to all the people who have said how nice labia are and how they like the feel of them, to suck them and pull them and how they feel round the penis. things i never knew! and i feel 100% happier about my lips now and in fact, think of them as sexy now. fantastic!

    50. I have had this problem forever... So much that my mom calls my labia "wings." I have also been nicknamed "knot's landing," because they are literally so long, that you can tie them in a knot... They are very uncomfortable, especially during periods when they "stick" to the pad/liner... They become very tender and inflamed... I think the surgery is great and would love to get it done, however, my husband likes them the way they are, so I will leave them... It just seems like life would be a lot easier. Every time I have sex they become very sore, and then it hurts to even walk, let alone wear jeans... It is a real problem, and most women do not do it for cosmetic reasons. It is hard to live with them, because they affect every aspect of self confidence... Good luck to everyone!!

    51. To the 18-year-old girl from Vancouver- I too am 18 and have had issues with this since I was about 13. After years of debating whether or not this surgery was for me, I finally decided that I would never feel fully comfortable with myself without getting this procedure done. I called to make an appointment for a consultation two weeks ago at the False Creek Surgical Centre and got to meet with the surgeon within 10 days of calling. The doctor was very helpful and my surgery has been set to take place two weeks from now. They seem to be knowledgeable and professional and getting an appointment was quick. However, their efficiency has proven to be very costly. Never-the-less, you should give them a call. Good luck!

    53. Hi there. As a man I think that tight is good. It means that is not connected with your labias. Please leave them natural. But if they make problems to you or if you feel uncomfortable you can have the op. by consulting with your husband or with your doctor if you are not going to have any problem in the future. Anyway natural is ok. :)

Did my research, average $4,000-$5,500 NY and Miami prices.
And for those of you women who are opposed to the surgery because you claim your partners have not had a problem w/ your oversized labia, believe me, the terms "roastbeef", "popped out" etc do come out of their mouths, and most likely behindd your back.. I'm female w/ good platonic male friends who after a few drinks, will talk 'loosely' about their hookups..

    58. To everyone who has had this surgery or is going to get it done good for you! And to the people who are saying not to get it how can you tell someone no to do it when you have never had this problem. If you like how you look down there awsome, if your large labia doesn't bother you great. If I could afford this surgery I would have gotten it years ago. I don't think people are meant to be constantly uncomfortable or in pain, plus feel so bad about their labia that they can't even have a relationship. Just try to imagine never being comfortable no matter what you wear or how you walk, sit, run, etc. You stick to your underwear, when you pull them off it hurts and sometimes bleeds. It is so frustrating at times that I just want to cut it off so I wouldn't have to deal with it anymore(sooo not a good option but when your frustrated...). Im 24 I've had sex once and that was because I was crazy drunk(I don't recommend drinking to have sex, learned from that experience not good). Everyone is intitled to their opinion if you are getting a labiaplasty for your job(model, dancer, pornstar, etc.),partner, or discomfort and pain thats your choice as long as you make it first and foremost for yourself without pressure from anyone or anything.

    59. Im fourteen and i hate my vagina because of my big lips. I havnt told anyone & I never want anyone to find out.
I know im young and shouldnt be thinking of having sex but if i did get a boyfriend and after a while we did want to have a sexual relationship i dont think i could. The thought of it scares me alot because I wouldnt want him to know that i am ugly down there.
To make me feel even worse about myself, the other week my mum told me about a documentry she saw on tv about women getting labiaplasty and how she never new people had big lips & how yuck it was.
It doesnt hurt me & is rarely uncomfortable. It just makes my self esteem really low. Im thinking even to not have kids cause i dont want them to go through what i go through. I think im going to start saving up for this surgery now, so when im 18 i can get it done.

    60. I'm 15 and have had problems with my large inner labia since i was 13. Not only is it large, but it is ugly and wrinkle even though I have never had sex. I was just born with it. I feel so self-conscious about letting guys see it and have never done any sort of sexual activity. I feel like I'm missing out on a big part of life and experimentation. Of course it hurts and is uncomfortable, but I hate them mostly due to embarrassment.

In my research, I can across a website in which I read horror stories where all of the labia minora was taken off, or there was even more pain after the surgery, etc.
Can anyone give me some more direct imput?
Preferably- what do guys think about them?

    61. for anyone who has had the surgery, can you tell me how long it takes for the swelling to go down as i had the surgery 2 days ago and it is still unattractive and uncomfortable.?

    62. I'm 30 years old and have always had issues with my large labia. I finally decided to have the surgery yesterday and I'm also in a lot of pain and discomfort especially when urinating. Does anyone know when this eases?

      ReplyDelete
    63. I had no idea... there were so many women concerned with this.. and here I've been hoping, with each new partner that she has a large labia because it turns me on so much! I love it! Now to see so many women having them trimmed back... boohoo. But, I also had no idea it could be uncomfortable, but it makes sense, because my large scrotum can be uncomfortable too. Anyway girls, don't do it for cosmetic reasons; only for discomfort. As guys, we either don't care, or we love it anyway! Adds to the fun of cunnilingus!

    64. I am a 31 year old that was born with large lips. I hate it, I don't experience any discomfort like some have said, but I think its ugly! Not to mention that my boyfriend thinks that large lips azre gross too. He hasn'y said anything of a sort to my face but I've heard him talking with other guys discussing some porn pics of ladies with large lips and be grossed out. Not to mention that its embarassing wearing a bathing suit!! To have this lil bulge that we don't see on other girls. I absolutly can't stand it. I am going to do the surgery one day, and mostly for myself and my self-esteem. I had no idea there were so many other girls out there like me.

    65. I have had this issue since I was 11 years old. Except only one is large. It can be very painful wearing certian clothing or underwear, riding a bike and of course during sex. I am thinking about getting this procedure done next year. I am not doing it just for the looks, i am doing it so i feel comfortable. Guys might not care what they look like but i do and that affects my enjoyment of sex. I personally dont like to be in pain for a good 2 days after sex because they get so swollen as well as always having to move the one aside during sex. It is always embarrassing showing the goods for the first time to a partner. It's also very disrespectful when guys make fun of women who have this problem. I was watching Dane Cook (vicious circle) and he talks about this problem and made me feel even more selfcontious about it.

    67. I just turned 16 and i have one long labia. It makes me sick and embarrassed. I've only made out because I'm scared to do anything else because I don't want to leave the boy disgusted. It makes me want to cry reading these posts. Me and my mom are not close AT ALL. I haven't been to the gynecologist yet and I'm even embarrassed to see he or she. I don't know what to do and want help.

    68. To The Girl That just turned 16 with the one large labia that is not close to her mom.
Hun at your age you need to see a gyn. You need to set your own gyn apt. if possable if not than talk to your family doc and let them set you an apt for a gyn. and see if you can find someone to talk to if not your mom than try your dad than a sister, aunt and again ask your family doc about someone to talk things over with there are girls clubs ect. but you really need to see a gyno and talk to them about your concerens. Good luck and things will work out belive me, been there done that from one girl to another you will be just fine :o)

    69. To all the girlies considering this operation.. My friend has had it done, she said she wouldn't change a thing. She got it done in Thailand and it only cost her $300US. I'm in Australia and it comes to $337.00 for me to have it done.. I am going to have it done but am just saving. Including flights it will cost mearound $2000 to have a holiday and the sugery. The doctors over there are very proffessional and the nurses hold your hand the whole time.. The reason for me having this done is also because i want to wear a bikini and i have lacey underwear i cant wear because it cuts it.. All my friends have innys but i am nit scared to tell them i have an outy. Dont be scared girls. Just make sure you know who your friends are before doing so. To all the younger girls.. I'm only 21 but know exactly what your going through. I went through it. Go onto google, type in destnation beauty or yanhee hostpital bankok. have a look at there websit and they have a question area.. just ask straight up the sergions.. If you have any questions just ask..

    70. I'm 19 and thought for years that i must be the only girl with one lip longer than the other. It didn't effect my sex life too much, but i was always aware of it. I never met a boy who questioned it or even appeared freaked out by it. I still wanted to find a solution, and when i came across this surgery last year i realised there was a solution and i would get it as soon as i had enough money. Since then i have found my lovely boyfriend, one day i just decided to ask him what he thought of my labia, did he think there aws anything wrong? He just looked baffled and said no. I told him all of the issues i had with it and i was thinking of one day having surgery...so i would have had to tell him eventually. He told me straight away if i got surgery he'd be very unhappy with me, and wouldn't support the idea. I was quite shocked, but it's changed my life just as much as surgery probably would have done, plus i'm still 100% the same girl i was born as.
Around the same time i also decided to get tested for STI's, i wasn't particularly worried that i might have any but just for that piece of mind i wanted to get tested, i also knew that this would mean somebody having to get close down there. I went, it was a piece of cake and not at all wierd and i dont even remember if i felt uncomfortable.
Just discussing my issues with my boyfriend has helped me no end. I don't care if i need to do the occasional tucking. I have no issues with sex anymore and was suprised how much more fun it can be when your brain isn't pre-occupied.
Surgery is the easy way out for the majority, in some cases i can understand it may help.
Accepting you're a normal girl will always be the best method of treatment. We are amazing at finding problems with ourselves, so i think confidence boosting of this sort should be including in education somewhere.
Find a way to accept the way you are, when i think of having surgery now i would probably feel great to beign with but as soon as i realised i've lost one of my little querks that made me who i was i know i'd feel pretty upset and angry at myself if destroying my beautifully natural body.
I love my vagina and you should love yours too.

      ReplyDelete
    71. So, I suppose some women suffer. Personally, it's the most sensitive, most erotic part of my body. I couldn't imagine my sex life without it, and I find that I wish it were bigger! In a well lubricated situation, it does not hurt me during intercourse whatsoever.

As for wearing cute underwear, or being overly conscientious about it possibly slipping out, I don't understand because I have never had that problem myself.

What makes this part of a woman's body beautiful is not its appearance, but its ability to create orgasm, thus making everyone involved happy. I wouldn't be able to orgasm without mine, and I say the bigger the better!

Best of luck to everyone who considers this procedure; even though I do not understand.

    72. I noticed that a few girls asked for more guys' opinions, so I'll give mine.

First off, I'd like give props to the girls who love their bodies...confidence in yourself is the greatest factor in overall attractiveness.

However, for pure aesthetics, I feel that pink, symmetrical, and round outer labia gives the most beautiful and youthful look. Here is thread where guys talk about the vagina they think looks best:

      peachyforum.com/forums/t/pussy-best-vagina-67383/5.aspx

You can find a quite a few examples of very nice looking labia on there.

      Here is my favorite:

      kindgirls.com/gallery/lsg/tina_47473/Tina/15/0

I consider myself lucky that my girlfriend has this type of vagina as it really turns me on when we have sex. A few of my friends have also commented on nice looking labia when we go to the strippers.

Hope that helps give an idea of what at least one guy thinks...but remember confidence is key to sexual attractiveness.

    73. Another opinion from a guy: My wife asked me about labiaplasty, I decided to read up about it. I don't mind either way. It's a bigger deal to her than it is to me. If she would feel better about herself, she can go for the procedure. If she is happy with herself, so am I. Same with her breasts, she is an A cup and talks about going for a boob job, but it's no big deal to me. She's attractive to me the way she is. Natural is best, unless there is a medical reason to do a procedure (pain or discomfort). I feel sorry for these young girls. My first sexual intercourse was on my wedding night at age 26. How can you be worried about your sex life at age 13 or 14? Find a man who will love you regardless of what you look like down there.

    74. Just wanted to post my story. I'm 32 years old and just had my labiaplasty yesterday. I wish I had done it years ago. I have always been ashamed by the length of my labia and never wanted to mention it to my various gyno's over the years. I've been in multiple long term relationships over the years and only one man has every commented on it. He was slightly inexperienced so probably his first time coming across one that didn't look like a porn stars. Lately i've just told men outright that i'm "fleshy" down there to get it out of the way. No less embarrassing then when you feel their slight hesitation when they go down there and try to figure out what's going on (as i cringe). I moved and got a new gyno (my first male) and despite my fears, he was so much better than any female doc i've had. I felt comfortable enough to be like "hey, help me out down there" I was scheduled for surgery less than 2 weeks later. It was under general anesthesia. walked into hospital at 9am, wheeled out around 3pm. No discomfort (percs and ibuprofren) and constatntly sitting on ice packs. No problem sleeping. Now day 2. It looks beautiful. Not nearly the amount of swelling i feared and I'm in shock that it's really done. Getting slightly more sore but very tolerable. I can tell this is one of the best things I have done. I know not everyone will have the same results or recovery but I just want to say if you want this procedure. Do it. Do it for yourself, your self confidence and self esteem. Do it to relieve pain and discomfort. Do it if you want a porn star vagina or to look great in a white bikini bottom. Do it because the procedure is available and you don't have suffer physically and mentally. Just my story, hope it helps at least one female.

    75. I am a 55 yr old woman born with large labia lips. I never knew I was different till after I saw some other women in my husbands porno mags. It was uncomfortable to wear jeans, underwear, and did get caught up in my clothes and hurt. I delt with it. I never knew you could have surgery. I even ask my Obgyn nurse when I was pregnant. She said honey you enjoy sex? I said always...she said your normal for you and don't about it.
I never looked back, now due to hormone changes and a condition which causes shrinkage down there I have what would be normal lips.

I have a had a fantastic sex life. Both married and divorced. I have a boyfriend now who thinks I have am beautiful womanly vagina etc.

He has known me thru large lips to what I have now...

Most men who are so critical of how you look down there need to take a hike.

I mean to each his own. But if your doing it just so you can look like "other" girls or women your doing it for the wrong reasons.

If your in pain and suffering then I do "understand" believe me I do. but my pain was only caused by external things such as clothes not by sex.

But there are wonderful men who .will accept you for what you are.
Enjoy your life and enjoy your youth. Most of all believe in yourself. You are so much more than some excess skin. Everyone has some "flaw" that someone will judge.

I see that my labia minora is bigger (fleshy) Not massive but to me it is! I have seen 4 doctors and they have all been unhelpful. I am ready for a sex but i dont want too because im petrefied about what people will say. It seems NO ONE wants to help me... I really need help. Please! Someone... Emja

    77. I had this done about seven years ago. I wish I had it done 20 years ago. I am 50 now and have three kids. You see, my labia looked normal before I got kids. Over the years, it looked uglier and uglier, flabby, hanging, whatever you name it. I did not feel comfortable wearing tight jeans and intercourse was a night mare. So my OBYGN suggested a labiaplasty and boy!!! My VJJ looks so pretty (according to my hubby). Gone is the flabby labia. I enjoy sex more than ever now.

    78. im 21 and was seriosly concidering labiaplast until i spoke to my boyfriend he says its normal n theres nothing wrong with it he likes it but i think majority of the time girls/ women are surrounded by porn with the perfect looking v so women automatically think well i why dont i look like that? my partner says it give it charecter as daft as it sounds but it does every1 is different if every woman looked the same down there it wud be boring seein the same thing so i wud advise to talk to your partners n ask wat they think after all its them who looks at it n does stuff to it and after hearing what he thinks i know i dont need it

    79. I'm 18 and I've been disgusted with my giant labia lips since I was probably 14. The day I found out it wasn't "normal" to have lips like mine will always haunt me. Reading these posts have helped me more than anything. I still hate my physical appearance but I'm so glad to finally not feel so alone. I had no idea girls my age even had this problem! Especially without much sexual experience. I'm in my first serious/sexual relationship and he's been with many other women.. I feel like I must have the most disgusting vagina he's ever seen. It's strange because when I see pictures of other women, with labias as large as mine, I do not get disgusted in the slightest, I actually find it beautifully natural. However, not only do I have this mental torment but, like many others on this post, I experience the physical discomfort. I hope the fact that I cannot even come close to affording this surgery will be a blessing in disguise for me.. because maybe in the time I spend saving for it, I will learn to love myself for who I am.
Best of luck to ALL of you BEAUTIFUL ladies out there.

    81. GIRLS!!! before you get surgery, read this! I am a normal handsome guy who prefers and LOVES fuller thicker labia. I know I'm far from being alone. To me they are so much sexier than thin/small lips. They give me more to look at, touch, play with, kiss, suck on, etc. I think 99% of the labiaplasty are just butchery by greedy immoral doctors. IMO, if labia are extremely asymmetrical, or actually interfere with health, etc, than surgery may be the remedy. I've dated a lot girls and seen a lot of vaginae, openly discussing my preference to the girls who had fuller labia and never once heard a girl with fuller labia mention pain from sex or wearing certain clothing. I find it extremely sexy to see the outline of labia showing thru panties. Trust me, if you are considering labiaplasty, google to see and read how many people love full, thick, long, butterfly wing sexy labia. On a similar note, anal bleaching is similarly absurd. BTW, I live in Los Angeles and I think it's sad how much doctors take advantage of people for their own greed, instead of referring patients to see a therapist to help their self esteem.

    82. I feel everyone's pain!! I am in the same positiom with a large and uncomfortable labia. I am 20 and have hated it since I was 15. The more i grow older and become more sexual experienced the less i mind it, my boyfriend loves it... he said its special and unique and feels good. Although you may hate it, as do i... we just have to be confident and show how sexy we are, because big labia or not, everyone knows confidence is the sexiest thing. so work it for as long as you have to until you're lucky enough to be able to get surgery if you desire. I am still thinking about it, It'd make life a lot easier!

I can relate to all you women with elongated labias. It is very frustrating and I cry every night beacuse of it! It affects me most physically and then mentally. Where can one get this procedure done in vancouver? Also how do u get insurance to cover it? Will they cover it? I heard its ideal to get a surgeon with experience not just a gyn. I have a long term boyfriend who is very understanding/supportive but because I hate my vagina so much I will never let him go down on me, look at me, I even hate being naked period. 85. I saw an episode of Embarassing Bodies where the surgeon cut off all the labia! It was so scary, this poor girl had hardly any lips left at all and had to go back for more surgery to get a reconstruction. Scary stuff.
There's no such thing as a "normal" vagina. They are all different. I used to be so embarassed abut mine coz I have one lip longer than the other. The long lip actually flds over the other one. An ex once said to me 'your hoo hoo is poking it's tounge out at me' and I found that really amusing. Once I had a laugh about it I felt better. Listen to the guys tho, they don't seem to want us cutting off our flaps... maybe do some pelvic floor muscle exercises so you can ensure you have the tightest vaj on the block ;) Also, try extending the foreplay so you get super wet to stop the catching/swelling or try some good lube! Best of luck ladies XOXO

    86. I'm 28. Just got my labiaplasty done 6 hours ago. Local anesthesia. I didn't take any drugs to calm down because you don't feel ANYTHING! NOTHING!!! In fact, it's so painless, the whole surgery long we were talking and even joking with the surgeon :)It was done in less than 30 minutes. I did the WEDGE METHOD because I don't like the way vulvas look after the trim method. It looks all bumpy and unnatural. Go for WEDGE cuz it looks better. Right now the whole thing is swollen like hell and it'll be bleeding for 2 more days, but even so I can tell it'll look awesome. I don't even take painkillers because the pain is tolerable. I'll be in bed for 3 days and then I won't be able to exercise, drive or have sex for another 3 weeks. As an overall experience I can only tell you that I'm already pretty happy. I thought it was gonna be so much worse :) I don't regret anything. Only the fact that I live in a society that makes everybody think we're not beautiful enough :)

Underwear or anything touching my bare clit is so uncomfortable, and sitting or walking is very very uncomfortable.

It is torture to have anything touch my clit and even a tongue is too much. I have not had sex since my surgery. I cannot undo this.

The doc even said he would not touch the clit but he put stitches on either side of it, taking away the protective covering. That should be illegal

    88. To anonymous, July 19th; I feel so truly sorry for you, hon. If you can face it and afford it then I think you should consider suing this doctor for malpractice/breach of oral contract; not just for your own sake but so that he doesn't does this to any other women. The only silver lining I can suggest is the fact that the clitoris is not only that little pink tip that shows on the outside of your body; it is a much more extensive network of sensitive tissue that runs under the surface of your inner and outer labial area, so massage of that area around the clit should still give you clitoral pleasure, even to the point of orgasm (I also have a hyper sensitive clit and cannot bear to have it directly touched). Perhaps if you use a lot of lubricant when you are having face-to-face penetrative sex (if you are straight, that is) then it will stop the clit getting sore. First and foremost, though, I think you should seek counselling; because a big psychological injury has been done to you, as well as a physical one. Secondly, seek legal advice to try and stop this man from mutilating more women.
